Grinding machines

Rail grinding machines are used for finish profiling of Thermit welded joints. Our purpose designed grinding equipment is used for rough and final grinding of welds which have been initially trimmed using hydraulic shearing equipment to remove surplus material around the rail head. Switch rollers
Switch rollers make it possible to reduce the power necessary for operating switches and prevent contamination of the track bed with lubricant. This increases operational safety through reducing disruptions and a more secure positioning of the switch blade.

Switch heaters

Our switch heaters use warm air produced with a gas burner, to melt snow and ice off the switches and keep the system functional.

Rail crossings

Modularly built, highly resistant rail crossings made of rubber or concrete are the solution to every problem related to rail crossings, not just in terms of pedestrians, but also for major roads.

Special products

The companies of the Goldschmidt Thermit Group additionally offer various special products: a fully galvanized steel sleeper, an electrical rail saw, mechanical and electronic rail lubricators which use environmentally friendly lubricants, rail buffers, repair coils, and a petrol air heater.
