Grinding
Grinding is a must to guarantee a customer-friendly operation with cost-effective, high performance. The companies of
the Goldschmidt Thermit Group offer rail grinding with a variety of manual and automatic grinding equipment which
includes the initial grinding, elimination of corrugation, rail head re-profiling, and grinding of switches.

Ballast bonding
The TBB System (Thermit Ballast Bonding) or the AGRITEC System makes it possible to bond the ballast material without
changing its drainage characteristics. The individual ballast pebbles are permanently bonded together with a special
epoxy resin. The roadbed is stabilized through this process.

Joint sealing

The joint is of special importance, particularly for grooved rails embedded in streets, and the companies of
the Goldschmidt Thermit Group offer a special solution with the patented joint system “Fugen-System Dresden”
based on polysulfide or bitumen.
